SoulCollage® is a creative and satisfying collage process. You make your own deck of cards - each collage card representing one aspect of your personality. It is a process which begins as simple creative fun, but which suddenly may surprise and awaken you! Through it you become present to your unique and many-faceted Soul in a new way, a way of images and imagination and intuition. Gradually SoulCollage may evolve from an interesting process that you do a few times, to a life-long creative practice, one you will enjoy and learn from by yourself, but also one perfect to share in your communities.
In SoulCollage each person creates, over time, their own deck of personal cards. We recommend using collage so no one need opt out because they are “not an artist.” Following the simple directions in the book, your intuition will choose certain images from magazines, cut them out, move them around, and finally fit them together and glue them down on a card. Each image carries a special energy uniquely powerful to you, one your mind may not understand at first. Intuition side-steps the mind and is the bridge to our less conscious parts, our deep Soul.
Once you have made some cards you may want to learn the SoulCollage way to consult the hidden wisdom of your images, to access their energy. That too is in the book. In time you may witness parts of your Soul becoming more peaceful and more effective in your life work, just because they are now named and honored and consulted. You will love all your SoulCollage cards, even the ones for your shadowy parts but especially the ones for the happy and grateful parts of your Soul.
This is a multi-layered, creative process which anyone can do. You need scissors, glue, and some mat board cards, and images that you cut or tear from magazines, greeting cards, personal photos, postcards, catalogues, calendars. It is wonderful to have other people with whom to share the process. You can take your cards to a friend's house, to a therapy session or support group, to a spiritual community or to work with in your family.
